Platform
This platform transforms the academic knowledge generated by the ERC-funded RomaInterbellum into an accessible digital platform dedicated to Roma history and heritage. Its aim is to make historical knowledge available to wider Roma communities and the general public through modern ICT tools and user-friendly digital content.
The Roma Heritage Handbook promotes understanding of Roma as active participants in European history, helping to challenge stereotypes, strengthen social inclusion, and support the empowerment of Roma communities by raising awareness of their historical contributions.
Currently, the platform is at prototype stage and is being tested (in form and content) within Roma communities and online. Subject to future opportunities and favourable conditions, the project is intended to be further expanded to include new themes, broader historical periods, and richer content beyond the original scope of the RomaInterbellum project, with the long-term vision of developing a sustainable and widely accessible digital resource on Roma history and culture.
